Billplz Credit
Updated a week ago
Billplz Credit (also called Credit Balance) is a pre-paid balance held in your Billplz account. Transaction fees for FPX and other services are deducted from your Credit Balance, not from the payment amount your customer pays.
What Billplz Credit covers
Your Credit Balance is used to pay for:
- Membership fees: Annual subscription for Standard and Enterprise plans
- FPX B2C transaction fees: Flat fee per successful transaction, rate depends on your membership plan
- Activation and annual fees: For card and e-wallet payment channels, if applicable
- Payment Order API fees: Charged per disbursement request according to your membership plan
- Shopify collection fees: Percentage per transaction if you use Billplz's Shopify integration. See Connect to Shopify
FPX transaction fees are deducted from your Credit Balance. Card and e-wallet fees are deducted directly from the payment amount before payout.
For current rates, see the Billplz pricing page.
How credit reloading works
You reload credit manually from your dashboard, at any time, 24/7, with FPX online banking or a credit card, and your credit balance updates as soon as the payment is confirmed. Billplz doesn't set a minimum or maximum reload amount. The limit comes from the payment method you choose:
Payment method | Per transaction | Daily limit |
|---|---|---|
FPX Online Banking (personal account) | MYR 1.00 to MYR 30,000.00 | Up to MYR 50,000, depending on the daily limit set in your online banking |
FPX Corporate Banking (business account) | MYR 2.00 to MYR 1,000,000.00, up to the available balance in your bank account | Set by your company's corporate banking mandate |
Credit card | Up to your card's available credit limit | Within your card's available credit limit |
To reload more than MYR 30,000.00 from a personal account, split it into several reloads within your bank's daily limit, or pay with FPX Corporate Banking if you have a business account.
If your credit balance reaches zero or goes negative, Billplz automatically deducts from your incoming customer payments to refill the credit balance in multiples of MYR 100. This is called auto-reload:
- If daily collections are less than MYR 100, the full amount goes to credit balance, no payout is sent to your bank account
- If daily collections exceed MYR 100, the system deducts MYR 100 (or multiples of MYR 100) to cover the negative balance, and the remaining amount is paid out normally
This ensures transactions continue processing even when credit runs low, but it means your payout may be reduced or withheld while the system restores your credit balance. To avoid this, reload credit proactively.
Reloaded credit is non-refundable. Before reloading large amounts, verify your current balance and review upcoming expenses.
Credit balance transfers
You can transfer credit from one Billplz account to another if both accounts are active Billplz accounts. This is useful when consolidating operations or migrating to a new account structure.
