This guide walks you through installing and configuring the Billplz for WooCommerce plugin. Once connected, customers can pay using FPX, debit cards, credit cards, and e-wallets directly on your WooCommerce checkout page.

Before you begin

You need:

  • A verified Billplz account with organization owner or admin permissions
  • A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed and activated
  • Your Billplz API credentials: Secret Key, X Signature Key, and a Collection ID. A collection is where your payments are grouped — if you have not created one yet, see Create a Collection ID

Step 1: Install the Billplz plugin

In your WordPress admin panel, go to Plugins > Add New. Search for billplz for woocommerce.

Click Install Now on the Billplz for WooCommerce plugin by Billplz Sdn Bhd.

Step 2: Activate the plugin

After installation completes, the button changes to Activate. Click Activate.

Step 3: Enable Billplz in WooCommerce

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments. Toggle Billplz on and click Manage to open the configuration page.

The settings page has pre-filled defaults for Title ("Billplz"), Description ("Pay with Billplz"), and Billplz Logo (FPX). Adjust these if needed — most merchants can leave them as-is.

Step 4: Copy your Secret key

Open a new browser tab and log in to your Billplz dashboard. Go to Settings > Keys & Integration.

Under Billplz Secret Key, click Copy Billplz Secret Key.

Billplz Keys & Integration - The XSignature Payment section with the option "Enable Extra Payment Completion Information" left unchecked.

Step 5: Copy your X Signature key

On the same page, scroll to XSignature Payment. Check Enable Extra Payment Completion Information if not already enabled.

Click Save & Copy X Signature Key.

Billplz Keys & Integration - Checking the box for "Enable Extra Payment Completion Information" to generate the XSignature Key.

Step 6: Enter API credentials in WooCommerce

Return to the WooCommerce Billplz settings tab. Enter the following:

  • Billplz Secret Key: Paste your Secret key
  • X Signature Key: Paste your X Signature key
  • Collection ID: The ID of the collection where WooCommerce payments are grouped. Find this in your Billplz dashboard under Collection. If you have not created a collection yet, see Create a Collection ID
WooCommerce Gateway Settings - Configuring the gateway credential fields including API Secret Key, X Signature Key, and Collection ID.

Step 7: Save and verify

Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

Your Billplz payment gateway is now active. Customers can select Billplz as a payment method at checkout. Run a test transaction to confirm the integration is working correctly.
