E-wallet migration
Updated 6 hours ago
Starting 12 November 2026, Billplz will process all e-wallet payments through DuitNow QR (DNQR). If any of your active collections accept GrabPay, ShopeePay, Touch 'n Go eWallet or Boost, switch them to DuitNow QR before 12 November 2026 to keep accepting e-wallet payments. This article covers the migration steps, the deadline, fees and payouts, and what changes for your customers.
About the change
1. What is changing on 12 November 2026?
Starting 12 November 2026, Billplz will process all e-wallet payments through DuitNow QR, Malaysia's national QR payment standard operated by PayNet. Currently, GrabPay, ShopeePay, Touch 'n Go eWallet and Boost each run as a separate payment method. To keep accepting e-wallet payments, migrate your collections to DuitNow QR before 12 November 2026.
2. How does this change benefit me?
This change brings critical benefits to you:
- One QR for every app: DuitNow QR works with banking and e-wallet apps across Malaysia, so your customers can pay with the app they already use. See question 18 for the list.
- Same fees and payout: Your e-wallet transaction fee stays the same, and payouts stay next day, including weekends and public holidays.
3. Who is affected?
All Billplz members with e-wallet payments active. If any of your active collections offer GrabPay, ShopeePay, Touch 'n Go eWallet or Boost, migrate those collections.
4. Are other payment methods affected?
No. This change applies to e-wallet payments only. FPX, card and instalment payments continue to work as usual.
5. Do I need to apply for DuitNow QR?
No. If e-wallet payments are active on your account, DuitNow QR is already activated. You only need to enable it on your collections.
How to migrate
6. What do I need to do?
Just three simple steps:
1. Sign in to your Billplz account.
2. Go to Collections, select the collection and click Payment Methods.

3. Tick DuitNow QR and click Save.

7. Do I need to repeat these steps for every collection?
Yes. Payment methods are set per collection. Update every active collection where you want to accept e-wallet payments.
8. How long does the migration take?
It's instant. DuitNow QR is available on the collection as soon as you click Save.
9. Is there any cost to migrate?
No. The migration is free of charge.
10. How do I know my migration is successful?
Open the collection's Payment Methods. DuitNow QR shows as ticked. To double-check, open a bill URL from that collection: DuitNow QR appears on the payment page.
Deadline
11. When is the deadline?
Migrate your collections before 12 November 2026.
12. What happens if I don't migrate before 12 November 2026?
Your customers can't pay with e-wallets on collections that haven't been migrated. Other payment methods aren't affected.
13. Can I still migrate after 12 November 2026?
Yes. Follow the same steps at any time, and e-wallet payments resume once the migration is done. To avoid any interruption for your customers, migrate before the deadline.
14. Can I migrate now?
Yes. Migrating early keeps your e-wallet payments running without interruption on 12 November 2026.
Fees and payouts
15. Will my transaction fees change?
No. Your e-wallet transaction fee stays the same. See https://main.billplz.com/pricing for current rates.
16. When will I receive my DuitNow QR payouts?
Next day, including weekends and public holidays, the same as your e-wallet payouts today. See Settlement schedule for details.
Your customers
17. Will my customers notice any difference?
Yes, at checkout. Your customers pay by scanning a DuitNow QR code with their e-wallet or banking app, instead of selecting GrabPay, ShopeePay, Touch 'n Go eWallet or Boost separately.
18. Which apps can my customers pay with?
Any participating banking or e-wallet app in Malaysia, including:
- E-wallets: Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, ShopeePay, Boost, BigPay, Setel, MCash, Merchantrade and Wise
- Digital banks: AEON Bank, Boost Bank, GX Bank, KAF Digital Bank and Ryt Bank
- Banks: Affin Bank, Agrobank, Alliance Bank, Al Rajhi Bank, AmBank, Bank Islam, Bank Muamalat, Bank of China, Bank Rakyat, CIMB, Citibank, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC, ICBC, Maybank, MBSB, OCBC, Public Bank, RHB, Standard Chartered and UOB, including their Islamic banking arms
